Flashing Workshop

 The MIM and York Flashings are excited to offer a flashing workshop for architects, engineers, and contractors. The flashing workshop will incorporate both classroom learning and hands-on instruction, specifically addressing common details such as laps, outside and inside corners, drip edges, and termination bars. The classroom portion will discuss the importance of flashing, which is critical to building enclosure performance, and discuss various flashing types, applications, and details.

The flashing workshop will qualify for 3.0 AIA/HSW credits.
Registration is FREE, and all are encouraged to attend. Lunch will be provided for attendees.

Learning Objectives:

• AIA Presentation explaining the challenges and solutions facing through-wall flashings and transition membranes.

• Provide description of the characteristics of several types of membranes.

• Explain proper installation techniques.

• Discuss the importance of flashing as a system.

• Examine the importance of having proper details.

• Hands on mock-up learning experience.
