SEAMI Spring 2020 Continuing Education

From SEAMI email
March 20, 2020

In lieu of the current COVID-19 crisis sweeping the nation, SEAMi has decided that we will be canceling our Monthly Face-To-Face meetings in our respective Chapters for the rest our spring season (March and April).

At this time we are monitoring the situation regarding our yearly Spring Conference in Lansing, which is currently still scheduled for May 20, 2020.  This is beyond the schedule of limitations on social gatherings imposed by Gov. Whitmer, but the situation will develop in the coming weeks.  Please watch your e-mails as the situation develops for further information regarding the Conference.

In the interim, SEAMi and NCSEA understand that our members still require continuing education for licensure. NCSEA sent out the e-mail below offering 2 free classes.

NCSEA is offering two free recorded webinars (normally $250 each) from our library. These popular webinars have been picked just for you!

The first is by Kim Olson, P.E., How the AISC 360-16 Chapter K Changes Affect HSS Design covers the background for the changes to AISC 360-16 Chapter K, an overview of the updates, and illustrate that the differences are not as extreme as it appears at first glance.
