Half a decade ago, a California man by the name of Jeremy Wolf (pictured above) built a new home in the fire zone in Ojai Valley, in California. When the massively devastating Thomas Fire blazed through, it reached his property. But it didn't burn it down. He says it's due to his fire-resistant design and materials: concrete block. Now officials in California are recommending residents rebuild their homes much in the style of Wolf's, if they want them to withstand future fires. To read more, click here.
