Bricklaying robot could be deployed in disaster scenarios

Australian construction technology firm FBR has developed a robot called the Hadrian X that transforms computer-assisted design models into metadata that is used to place bricks into a certain pattern. The technology has potential to create cost-effective, quickly-built houses in areas hit by natural disasters, says Steve Pierz, chief innovation officer at FBR.
