The Masonry Institute of Michigan (MIM) since 1976 has contributed to a Scholarship Fund for the College of Architecture at Lawrence Technological University (LTU) in Southfield. In 2007, The MIM Board of Trustees decided to extend the awarding of scholarships each to include other Colleges of Architecture, Construction Management, and Civil/Construction Engineering. To accomplish this endeavor, the MIM Scholarship Foundation was established in May 2001 for the purpose of raising funds for student scholarships. In 2023, the MIM Scholarship Foundation made the decision to increase the award amount to $5000.

The net proceeds from the MIM annual golf outing will continue to be used as a source of revenue for the MIM Scholarship Foundation Fund. Your tax-deductible contribution can help this fund grow even more! The goal is to be able to award scholarship monies with the interest gained on the fund’s principle.

The masonry industry, through the Masonry Institute of Michigan, has awarded 189 scholarships since the inception of the first annual J.R. Snyder Scholarship in December 1976. The following scholarships are now open to all architectural, construction management, and civil/construction engineering students in Michigan:
