It has been nearly a year since the tragic fire at Grenfell Tower in the United Kingdom, and the public inquiry started this week. The fire claimed 71 lives and left hundreds of people homeless. The inquiry is charged with examining the circumstances leading up to the fire and preventing a similar tragedy from occurring again. The fire was apparently accelerated by the external cladding material used in refurbishment of the tower. The first phase of the inquiry is expected to continue through late October. Read more.
